3,000 year old treasures dated to the time of King David unveiled

TRUTH BOMBS: Even more proof that the Bible is accurate! Truth Bombs Apologetics has catalogued  over 100 distinct Archeological proofs that confirm the Historical accuracy of the Bible. Look for this Bible study coming soon. But in the mean time, why not just trust the Bible?

ARTICLE: The Bible Lands Museum Jerusalem offered a unique preview on Monday of an exhibition showcasing 3,000 year-old artifacts recovered from Khirbet Qeiyafa which archaeologists believe could be the biblical city of Sha’arayim, meaning ‘Two Gates’, that is mentioned in the story of the battle of David and the Philistine giant, Goliath.

Khirbet Qeiyafa, overlooking the Elah Valley southwest of Jerusalem, is an ancient fortified city that was discovered around a decade ago. But it was not until the second year of excavations in 2008 that archaeologists realized they had stumbled upon what was possibly the earliest physical evidence of a Davidic city dating back to the 11th Century BCE.

North Carolina transgender students win toilet access ruling – BBC News

TRUTH BOMBS: I thought the purpose of schools was to teach children what right and wrong is not embrace fantasy.

ARTICLE: The University of North Carolina must allow transgender students and staff to use the toilets that match their gender identity, a US judge has ruled.

A state law passed in March requires transgender people to use toilets that correspond to the sex on their birth certificates.

The ruling led to boycotts of the state by some sports teams, businesses, and entertainers.

The full case challenging the bill is expected to go to trial in November.

US District Court Judge Thomas Schroeder said three plaintiffs challenging the measure had a strong chance of proving that the state’s toilet-access measure violated federal law, and temporarily blocked the university from applying the state law.

“The individual transgender plaintiffs have clearly shown that they will suffer irreparable harm in the absence of preliminary relief,” he wrote, noting their assertions that single-occupant toilets were generally unavailable at the University of North Carolina.

One of the three people who challenged the law is University of North California student Joaquin Carcano.

“Today, the tightness that I have felt in my chest every day…. has eased. But the fight is not over: we won’t rest until this discriminatory law is defeated,” Mr Carcano said.

Legislators in North Carolina enacted the law after the town of Charlotte passed a bill allowing transgender people to use toilets according to gender identity.

Lawmakers in several other US states have proposed similar legislation – sometimes referred to as “bathroom bills”.

Some people have said that allowing transgender people to choose their toilet could lead to women and children being attacked.

They said they feared that predatory men could pose as transgender people and use legal protections as a cover.

Swedish cops overwhelmed by attacks from Afghanis

TRUTH BOMBS: Not from those fundamentally peaceful muslims. They wouldn’t rape and pillage like they did in the Crusades would they? YES, THAT IS WHAT THEIR RELIGION TEACHES!

ARTICLE: Children are being sexually exploited. Hordes of men are sexually assaulting women. Cars are being set on fire while hand grenades are lobbed at the police.

No, this is not a Third World country, nor is it an American inner-city neighborhood. This is Sweden, the formerly peaceful Nordic land of hardworking Lutherans.

But the country is not as peaceful as it once was. Last New Year’s Eve, gangs of young men, described as “unaccompanied from Afghanistan,” surrounded and molested women in Malmo, Sweden’s third largest city. The police and media managed to keep the story under wraps for 11 days afterward.

The reality is sexual assaults have become common in Sweden. At the music festival We Are Sthlm last week, there were seven reports of sexual harassment on the first day alone.

This was despite the fact Swedish police had ramped up security measures following a rash of assaults at the prior two years’ festivals. In January, Swedish newspaper Dagens Nyheter reported police had covered up a total of 36 incidents of sexual assault and two rape allegations at the 2014 and 2015 We Are Sthlm festivals.

Again, almost all the perpetrators were described as refugee youths from Afghanistan, and now right-wing groups in Sweden have accused the police and media of deliberately not reporting the assaults in order to not encourage anti-immigrant sentiments.

Rather than saying anything that might upset immigration advocates, Swedish police started an anti-groping armband campaign. Officers handed out bracelets at major youth events, such as We Are Sthlm, that read, “Police cordon #don’t grope.”

Order your copy of “Debunking Utopia: Exposing the Myth of Nordic Socialism” today from the WND Superstore!

Swedish author and researcher Nima Sanandaji, president of the think tank European Centre for Entrepreneurship and Policy Reform, wrote this recently about the bracelet campaign.

“The campaign has upset many in Sweden, as well as abroad, who doubt that those willing to commit sexual assaults care about the message printed on small plastic bracelets. Lisen Andreasson Florman, who leads a voluntary group with the goal of creating safer environments at festivals, has explained that little is done to stop the assaults,” he wrote.

“She herself, while wearing [a] work outfit, was surrounded by three men who acted in a far from acceptable way. ‘And the three men had those don’t grope bracelets on them,’ Lisen has said, continuing to explain, ‘it was so surreal.’”

Despite the #don’t grope campaign, more than 100 charges of sexual harassment and rape had been made across seven music festivals this summer in Sweden, according to Swedish public radio. When a journalist asked Dan Eliasson, Sweden’s national police commissioner, how many suspected gropers police had been able to catch and bring to justice, Eliasson replied it was far too few. The journalist informed the police commissioner the correct answer was one single person.

Eliasson tried to shift the burden to the journalist, saying “If you could tell me how we could work in a smarter way to find out how one gropes.” However, the journalist interjected that this was not his job but Eliasson’s job.

Commenting on the exchange, Sanandaji, author of “Debunking Utopia: Exposing the Myth of Nordic Socialism,” wrote: “This bizarre interview captures part of the reason for why Sweden, and to a certain degree other Northern European countries, are unable to meet social tension. A focus on public relations has crowded out traditional police work. Theoretical debates have taken the place of firm action. While the strive to focus more on dialogue than violence is an admirable action by the police force, it has led to an odd situation – with the head of police acting in a way that makes Chief Wiggum from the Simpsons look like a star.”Sanandaji recently updated Americans on the devastation immigrants have brought to Malmo, Sweden, and the apathy of police toward the attacks.

“A large number of children, immigrant children, are being used in sex trade,” Sanandaji said. “The police know about this, the immigration services know about this – nobody’s doing anything. They’re not even filing these cases.

“So we have mass-scale sexual trade of children, the things you have in deep Afghanistan happening in Malmo. Nobody does anything about this, and another thing we have in Malmo is cars are being burned… Every day now for the last, I think, two weeks, they’re burning cars, and Malmo is a city where throwing hand grenades toward the police is a common news item.

“We’re talking about Sweden. It used to be a super peaceful country where nothing of this sort used to happen.”

This glacier in Antarctica ‘bleeds’ red liquid | New York Post

TRUTH BOMBS: Any Prophecy experts out there? I would love to hear your opinion on this phenomenon.

ARTICLE: It looks like a gruesome scene, interrupting the pristine whiteness of ice-covered East Antarctica.

What appears to be blood can be seen spilling over the snow in the extreme desert, begging the question — what on earth happened?

Thankfully, this is no crime scene, nor is it the site of a terrible accident.

It’s actually a strange natural wonder that could hold the secret to life on Mars and it has an appropriately gory name: Blood Falls.

Blood Falls, in the Taylor Valley of Antarctica’s remote McMurdo Dry Valleys, is a gushing stream of crimson-colored saltwater flowing from the Taylor Glacier.

The bizarre color of the saltwater is traced back about five million years, when the ocean flooded East Antarctica and created a salty inland lake. Over time, pristine saltwater from the ocean became trapped in a basin that was totally isolated from light, heat and oxygen. The saltwater became more and more concentrated in the basin, and is now said to be about three times saltier than the ocean, and too salty to freeze.

When this saline water trickles through small fissures in the ice, it reacts with oxygen in the air to create a brilliant, bloodlike hue.

The red cascade then spills onto the ice-covered surface of West Lake Bonney, earning its name, Blood Falls.

The phenomenon was first discovered in 1911 by Australian geologist Griffith Taylor, who first explored the valley that is now his namesake. At first, scientists thought the red color was due to red algae.

But Blood Falls is not just an eye-popping natural wonder. Scientists believe it could also be the gateway to some crucial revelations about life in hostile environments.

Last year, a study on the bacteria in the saltwater suggested Antarctica could be awash with subterranean microbial life. Microbiologists found that the basin of salt water covered a much bigger area than they initially thought.

“I’ve been studying Blood Falls for quite some time, and it’s always been a mystery,” lead author Jill Mikucki of the University of Tennessee told the Washington Post.

“We found, as expected, that there was something sourcing Blood Falls, and we found that these brines were more widespread than previously thought.

“They appear to connect these surface lakes that appear separated on the ground. That means there’s the potential for a much more extensive sub-surface ecosystem, which I’m pretty jazzed about.”

Scientists said the findings could provide new insights into how organisms adapt in extreme environments. And because the McMurdo Dry Valleys are similar to the surface of Mars or Jupiter’s moon Europa, it could also help researchers understand how life could exist on other planets.

If you’re keen to witness the bizarre spectacle for yourself, Blood Falls and McMurdo Dry Valley can be seen by helicopter from nearby Antarctic research stations or cruise ships visiting the Ross Sea.

‘This could have been life and death’: Utility workers find signs children lived in sewers near Seattle

TRUTH BOMBS: Signed that children are living in the sewers! In one of the most liberal cities in the US. This is home to Microsoft and a financial staple in the US. Every city has this kind of problem but it is the point that when social services were removed from the hands of the Church, they immediately met corruption.

ARTICLE: Last Friday afternoon in Federal Way, Wash., a city to the south of Seattle, utility workers came across a manhole that refused to stay closed. Meter readers with Lakehaven Utility District first noticed the sewer cover left ajar. They pushed it shut; to fall down an open manhole, after all, could mean injury or worse. It proved to be a stubborn grate. Later in the day — twice — workers found the manhole open again. The third time, the meter readers had enough, summoning the Lakehaven sewer crew, who decided to investigate how a 80-pound metal slab could behave like a screen door with a busted latch. What the crew found was even stranger. At the bottom of the 14-foot descent was a cache of kids’

ISIS Martyr Kayla Mueller’s Amazing Faith – Jim Denison

“She was always considerate of others, even though she herself was in a very difficult situation. She was always concerned for other prisoners. She never stopped being concerned for the Syrian population living through just horrible things in this war and still are. She never stopped caring for others.”

This is how a former ISIS hostage describes Kayla Mueller in a remarkable story on this morning’s ABC News website. Four former hostages will tell about their shared ordeal on tonight’s “20/20” broadcast.

We knew that Mueller was tortured and assaulted sexually by Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, leader of ISIS. But we are only now hearing remarkable accounts of her unfailing Christian commitment and character. Former hostages describe her sense of humor and unwavering faith. They testify that she defended her Christian commitment to “Jihadi John,” the infamous ISIS executioner, and inspired them all with her courage.

At one point she refused a chance to escape so that some teenage girls with her would have a better chance at freedom. “I am an American. If I escape with you, they will do everything to find us again,” she explained. One girl who escaped said Mueller “was praying for us to escape, to survive. I will never forget this sacrifice. She was very good to us. I will never forget.”

Mueller died in February 2015. ISIS stated that a Jordanian airstrike in Syria killed her, a claim the White House has denied. According to another former ISIS hostage, she was killed by the terrorists, perhaps by al-Baghdadi himself.

Scripture says, “To do righteousness and justice is more acceptable to the Lord than sacrifice” (Proverbs 21:3). For Kayla Mueller, her righteousness was her sacrifice. She is now numbered among “those who had been slain for the word of God and the witness they had borne” (Revelation 6:9).

You and I are not likely to face anything like Kayla Mueller endured, but we will encounter our own temptations and challenges today. John Maxwell noted, “Your integrity is the foundation for lasting achievement. If you build it, success and significance will come. And you’ll be able to enjoy them for a long time.” Conversely, we all know what happens to a house with a flawed foundation: cracks hidden beneath the house produce cracks visible in its walls that only get worse over time.

The best time to choose character is before it is tested. At the start of this day, ask the Holy Spirit to manifest the fruit of “faithfulness” and “self-control” in your life (Galatians 5:22, 23). Decide that you will face temptation with integrity and opposition with grace. Remember that “whoever walks in integrity walks securely, but he who makes his ways crooked will be found out” (Proverbs 10:9). And know that in a day of moral confusion and deception, your character is your most indispensable witness.

Thinking about Kayla Mueller this morning, I am reminded of martyred missionary Jim Elliott’s now-famous observation, “He is no fool who gives what he cannot keep to gain what he cannot lose.” Jesus told his persecuted followers, “Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life” (Revelation 2:10).

Kayla Mueller is wearing her crown today.

Banks are preparing for an ‘economic nuclear winter’

The first half of 2016 has been a roller-coaster for financial markets. A combination of uncertainties surrounding the U.K.’s vote to leave the European Union and weaker-than-expected corporate earnings results across the region means a tough second half looms.

European banks, in particular, have had a very tough six months as the shock and volatility around Brexit sent banking stocks south. Major European banks like Deutsche Bank and Credit Suisse saw their shares in free-fall after the referendum’s results were announced. In the U.K., RBS was the worst-hit, with its shares plunging by more than 30 percent since June 24.

The current uncertainty over when the U.K. will start the process of quitting the EU has banks on tenterhooks. But a source told CNBC that banks are “preparing for an economic nuclear winter situation.”

Speaking on the condition of anonymity due to the sensitive nature of the topic, a source from a major investment bank told CNBC that financial services firms have put together a strategy in place that takes into account the worst-case scenario that could happen by the end of this year.

“This could mean triggering Article 50, referendum in other European nations leading to a break-up of the euro or sterling hitting below $1.20 or lower. The banks are ready for anything now,” the source said.

The source further explained that the challenge in 2016 is nothing compared to when the Lehman Brothers collapsed in 2008 and the banking sector is this time a lot more resilient. “Markets hate uncertainty and the events this year have unfortunately created a lot of mystery around what is going to happen next.”

Meanwhile, a common theme across second-quarter results has been a warning of uncertain times ahead. From big investment banks to mining firms like BHP Billiton and Glencore to the auto sector, companies have cited uncertainty and volatility in markets as a reason for weak results and have warned that the second half will be challenging.

Following that, a number of banks have cut their exposure to equities due to the volatile nature of stocks in the first half the year. Earlier this month, Goldman Sachs downgraded stocks to “underweight” as part of its 3-month asset allocation citing global equities to be at the upper end of their “fat and flat range.”

“The second half of the year is going to be very challenging for U.K. corporates,” Craig Erlam, senior market analyst at OANDA told CNBC via email. “Not only are they contending with possible recession in the U.K. and more prolonged slowdown, the uncertainty factor surrounding Brexit leaves planning for the future a very difficult task.”

Erlam further explained that a number of companies won’t know for a while what the future of their operations in the U.K. will look like.

“I imagine many are already putting plans in place for moving operations abroad should the U.K. lose access to the single market. With companies less likely to invest and recession very possible, the second half of the year isn’t looking great, particularly for those companies with greater exposure to the UK.”

But while challenges continue to loom, some analysts have said it was important for companies to get on with their business.

“I think the main problem for the second half of the year is the uncertainty caused by Brexit, though that’s likely to persist for two years or more, so I suspect companies are likely to roll up their sleeves and get on with their business,” Laith Khalaf, senior analyst at Hargreaves Lansdown told CNBC via email.

Khaif explained that the challenges will remain but it is important for industries like banking for instance to focus on maintaining their solvency ratios and “de-risking and simplifying their businesses.”

Muslim Population in Latin America Grows 25% Amid Radicalization Concerns – Breitbart

TRUTH BOMBS: This is our southern get in the US. Do not for a moment believe this is an accident. There is an anitchrist coming. Are you ready?

Islam had an estimated 3 million adherents in Latin America and the Caribbean as of the end of last year, marking an increase of nearly 25 percent from the 2.3 million who were residing there in 2010, a Breitbart News analysis of U.S. Department of State (DoS) data shows.

Among the Muslims in the region are people who emigrated from Muslim majority countries – including Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, Iran, Egypt, and Pakistan – and locals who converted. Most of them are recent migrants and descendants of those who made the journey years and even generations ago, namely Palestinians, among others.

The most recent data found in the International Religious Freedom Reports issued annually by the DoS reveal that there were at least an estimated 2,990,000 Muslims residing in Latin America and the Caribbean in 2015.

In 2010, the number was about 2,290,000. That means the Muslim population grew by nearly 700,000 (23 percent) between 2010 and 2015. Some experts have indicated that Shiites outnumber Sunnis in the region. Iran’s growing influence has sparked concern within the U.S. government.

DoS, also known as State, did not include estimates for all the countries in Latin America and Caribbean, so the actual number of Muslim residents there could be much higher.

Various sources, including State, show that in 2015 there were concentrations of Muslims across the region: in Brazil (1.5 million); Argentina (750,000); Colombia (10,000); Venezuela (100,000); Panamá (14,000); Suriname (81,200); and Trinidad and Tobago (60,000).

Breitbart News’ analysis comes nearly a month after the top U.S. commander in Latin America and the Caribbean warned that the Islamic State (ISIS/ISIL) is actively recruiting and radicalizing converts in his area of responsibility.

In fact, Navy Adm. Kurt Tidd, chief of U.S. Southern Command (SOUTHCOM), revealed earlier this year that “hundreds” of Muslims from countries in the region, primarily Trinidad and Tobago, have traveled to the Middle East to fight on behalf of ISIS. Some of those nations have expressed concern about the possibility of such individuals returning radicalized and launching attacks.

They are also worried about self-radicalization in the region. Panama became the first Latin American country to join the U.S.-led coalition against ISIS.

Both SOUTHCOM and the State Department have recently warned that ISIS and the Lebanese Shiite terrorist group Hezbollah, an Iranian proxy, are operating in the region.

Moreover, the U.S. military has sounded the alarm about human trafficking groups that specialize in bringing in individuals from terror-linked countries into the United States. Hundreds of them have been recently apprehended trying to sneak across the southwest border and into the U.S. It remains unknown how many actually got through.

An often cited estimate places the current number of Islam adherents in Latin America at over four million.

The Pew Research Center has placed the 2010 Muslim population number, its most recent data, at between 840,000 and 1,720,000, much lower than the State Department.

Latin America has not been immune to the crisis involving migrants from war-ravaged nations in the Middle East, namely Syria.

Countries in the region with already large Muslim populations like Brazil have taken in thousands of Syrian refugees.

Some South American nations are also housing detainees released from the U.S. military prison in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba including at least one who allegedly went missing in Uruguay and resurfaced in Venezuela.

The Muslim religion is the fastest growing in the world and Latin America appears to be no exception.

Nevertheless, despite the recent growth in the Muslim population, Latin America and the Caribbean are projected to remain primarily Christian.

Most Muslims across the globe favor Sharia law, the strict Islamic rules that govern a Muslim’s life, according to the Pew Research Center

While DoS data shows that the overall Muslim segment of the population in Latin America and the Caribbean grew at a rate of 23 percent between 2010 and 2015, in the United States it grew at a rate of about 17 percent over a similar period, from 2.75 million in 2011 to 3.3 million in 2015, according to the Pew Research Center.

Nevertheless, the center estimates that increases to the Muslim population in the Americas will be concentrated in the United States and Canada.

The overall population of Latin America and the Caribbean nearly doubles that of the United States.

Some analysts argue that Latino Muslims are the fastest growing group of Islam followers in the United States.

In the wake of the Orlando terrorist attack by a jihadist who primarily targeted Latinos, Waqas Syed, deputy secretary general of the Islamic Circle of North America (ICNA), told Breitbart News that the relationship between Hispanics and Muslims in Latin America is strong.

“[The] relationship between the Latino and the Muslim community stretches back eight centuries to Islamic Spain. Many Muslims have migrated to Latin America and have become very successful and productive citizens,” he declared. “Unlike Europe and North America, Latin America has been quite untouched with any of the anti-Islamic rhetoric and the relationship between Muslims and non-Muslim Latinos can be described as excellent and strong.”

The residents of San Salvador, the capital of El Salvador, recently elected a mayor, Nayib Bukele, whose father served as the leader of the region’s Muslim community. Bukele, from the leftist guerrilla group Farabundo Martí National Liberation Front (FMLN) that became a legal political party in the country after launching a war against the government, has not publicly identified as Muslim despite his heritage.
